Board of Trustees
The OBUUC Board of Trustees is the governing body of our church, which reviews and sets policies and procedures. Trustees are nominated and voted in for a 3 year term. Meetings are held every third Wednesday, 7 p.m. at the church Annex.

Oversees, supports, and coordinates the various areas of ministry within the congregation including; finance, religious education, religious services, membership, fellowship, communication, social action, denominational connections, and green sanctuary. Meetings are on the 1st Wednesday of each month (except July and December), 7 p.m. at the Annex.
Committee On The Ministry
Supports and monitors the ministry of the church which includes the work of the professional staff and laity. “Listening Ears Sunday” provides opportunity to receive feedback from congregants. Meetings are on the fourth Wednesday of each month, 7 p.m. at the Annex.
Religious Education Committee
This committee determines policies of the Religious Education program for children, youth and adults, and administers these policies, subject to review and approval by the Board of Trustees.
The committee seeks ways to connect visitors to members and friends and to extend a welcome to everyone who comes to OBUUC.
Property Concerns Committee
Oversees the general maintenance of the church property (church, annex, and apartments) and to plan/execute capital projects.
Safety Committee takes on the task of making our congregation a safe and welcoming place for all.
Assists with preparations of regular and special services, weddings, funerals, and child dedications as needed.
Worship Associates Committee
This group facilitates services when the minister is on vacation, sabbatical or, for other reasons, is unable to lead the service. Generally, the planning of July services is managed by this committee.
Preserves, recognizes and celebrates the history of our church. Meets bi-monthly to identify historic events to celebrate, to store and preserve historical records and artifacts.
Facilitates and coordinates the musical events of the church.
Meets several times per year.
Good Shepherd Committee
Offers support to friends and members during a time of need. Committee volunteers help with things such as: visiting, calling or sending cards, delivering a meal, providing transportation to medical appointments, or assist with funeral needs.
Social Justice Committee
This group facilitates some of our church’s social-justice activities including food pantry collection, Take Back the Night March, and Gay Rights March.
Green Sanctuary Committee
The Green Sanctuary committee’s mission is to assist OBUUC in living out its commitment to the Earth by creating a sustainable lifestyle for its members as individuals and as a faith community. The committee is open to membership and participates with other Racine churches in helping promote our mission.
